Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc is seeking a Mobile Electrical Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain industrial utilities, perform preventative maintenance, and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults across on-site facilities.

Role requires a time-served apprenticeship, a full clean driving licence, and willingness to join the on-call rota for out-of-hours alarms on mobile sites. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven engineering background within Electrical and Mechanical industry with a Time Served apprenticeship.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Able to cover On-Call rota for out-of-hours alarms from mobile sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain industrial utilities: steam boilers, air compressors, cooling towers and water treatment plants.
• Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical and mechanical systems, including PSSR and LV/ELV systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, control and instrumentation faults.
• Support project work, including minor electrical and mechanical installations.
• Maintain plant quality records and reports.
• Implement Safe Systems of Work (Permits to Work, Risk Assessments, Method Statements).
• Cover the On-Call rota for out-of-hours alarms from mobile sites.
• A proactive approach to tasks and willingness to learn.
• Experience with Electrical and Mechanical fault finding and maintenance (110v, 240v and 415v).
• Optional personal use of van.

• Diagnose and repair electrical, control and instrumentation faults
• Support project work, including minor electrical and mechanical installations
• Maintain plant quality records and reports
• Implement Safe Systems of Work (Permits to Work, Risk Assessments, Method Statements)
