What will you be doing?

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing your schedule and having responsibility for your own revenue.
  • Travelling to customers' premises and assisting in repairing any mechanical issues where possible.
  • Observing, recognising, and reporting vehicle or component defects or symptoms of impending failure.
  • Examining vehicles thoroughly and reporting on their condition, safety, reliability, and performance.
  • Protecting all vehicles under repair against damage.
  • Attending recognised courses of instruction as required and assisting in the training of apprentices.
  • Seeking permission before fitting parts to customers' vehicles that have not been previously authorised and returning parts for warranty and customer inspection.
  • Ensuring all service and maintenance sheets, customer defect reports, manufacturer paperwork, and electronic documentation are fully completed and signed off.

This role involves travelling to areas such as Grimsby, Hull, etc., and all travel time is paid. The working days are Monday to Thursday (Week 1) and Tuesday to Friday (Week 2), with suggested hours of 08:00 - 17:30 to accommodate travel.

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum Level 2 City and Guilds (or equivalent) in Vehicle Repair.
  • Experience in diagnostics and using computers.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A strong team player mentality.
  • The ability to work to a very high standard.
