Company Description

Join our professional security team as a Mobile Team Leader,where your commitment to professionalism will be valued and recognized. This role offers opportunities to lead and manage a small team of security officers, liaise with the client, participate and support with safety and security initiatives.

The Mobile Team Leaderwill play a pivotal role in managing security personnel and addressing daily operational issues related to the contract during their shift. They will serve as a central point of contact for service delivery development, performance measurement, and centralised reporting, embodying the core Securitas values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. This key position ensures the operational success of the team, fostering a strong relationship between the client and Securitas by providing consistent operational supervision on a 24/7 basis.

Position:Mobile Team Leader

Pay:£13.10 p/h

Hours:Full time, 42 hours per week

Shift Patterns:4 on 4 off (days only)

Transport:A valid driving licence is required and based within 20 miles of site

Use of a company vehicle provided while on duty

Job Description

Purpose

As a Mobile Security Officer, your primary responsibility is to provide top-tier mobile security services across multiple client sites within a designated geographical area. This role involves a range of duties including locks/unlocks, patrols, alarm responses, vacant property inspections, and escort services as directed by the Deputy Branch Manager. Upholding Securitas’ core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness, you will ensure the safety of clients' people, property, and assets, contributing to a safer environment.

Responsibilities

  • Mobile Security Services: Perform various mobile security tasks such as locks/unlocks, internal and external patrols, alarm responses, vacant property inspections, and escort services.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional, polite, and helpful demeanor when interacting with clients, their staff, and Securitas colleagues.
  • Shift Management: Receive direction from the Deputy Branch Manager, providing comprehensive shift handovers upon completion.
  • Support and Coordination: Assist the control room (Mobile Dispatch) with adhoc requests, ensuring smooth distribution and collation of information for current and upcoming shifts.
  • Team Support: Support and communicate effectively with the team throughout the shift, reallocating tasks as necessary to maintain efficiency.
  • Uniform and Equipment: Ensure all team members are properly uniformed and equipped, conducting thorough vehicle handovers at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Vehicle and Driving: Drive company vehicles in accordance with the Highway Code, maintaining road safety and upholding the company's professional image.
  • Security Protocols: Adhere to key management processes, assignment instructions, and escalation procedures in case of incidents or emergencies.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Utilize GRS/SMP systems for accurate reporting, ensuring all data is correctly documented with necessary photos and details.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Follow SOP13 and SOP18 guidelines, as well as understanding and adhering to the driver’s handbook and agreement.
  • Team Development: Coach, support, and mentor new and existing employees, contributing to their professional growth within the team.
  • Flexibility and Support: Assist neighbouring branches and participate in investigations or other tasks as directed by the Deputy Branch Manager.
  • Training: Attend training sessions as required, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Demonstrate understanding and engagement with the Securitas Core Values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness, whilst showing a natural ability to recognise risk within the workplace and consider safety as a priority, complying with relevant policies, procedures and training as provided by the Company.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Minimum of 1 year's preferred (but not essential) experience in mobile security.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Valid SIA Frontline Licence.
  • Flexibility to work day, night, and weekend shifts.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintains composure and focus under pressure.
  • Client-focused with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Committed to delivering service excellence.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing work demands.
  • Willingness to attend required training sessions.
  • Ability to provide on-the-job training to new team members.

  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or full and part-time education during that period.
