Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking a Facilities Management Supervisor to oversee daily building operations in the London area. You will lead maintenance staff, coordinate preventive programs, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems.

Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies and manage budgets is essential. A CMMS proficiency and a relevant degree or equivalent experience are required; certifications such as CFM/FMA are a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of facilities maintenance experience with 1+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, mechanical equipment, and maintenance best practices.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to respond to after-hours emergencies.
  • Proficiency with CMMS.
  • Preferred: Certifications (CFM, FMA) HVAC/refrigeration, electrical, or plumbing licenses.
  • Experience with LEED or sustainability programs.
  • Project management experience.

  • Assign work orders, monitor performance, conduct training, and manage scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and mechanical equipment.
  • Monitor facility operations through building management systems and respond promptly to equipment failures or service disruptions.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized services and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including OSHA, fire codes, and environmental standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, maintain safety documentation, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead emergency response procedures and ensure staff training on safety protocols.
  • Monitor departmental budgets, track maintenance expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Review and approve purchase requisitions and service contracts within authorized limits.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for facility-related issues and requests.
  • Communicate effectively with building occupants, property management, and senior leadership.
  • Provide regular updates on facility status, maintenance activities, and improvement initiatives.

Facilities Management Supervisor Position Overview

The Facilities Management Supervisor oversees daily building operations and maintenance activities, ensuring optimal facility performance, safety, and occupant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
  • Supervise and coordinate facilities maintenance staff, including technicians, custodians, and contractors.
