Job summary

Murphy is seeking a Mobile Service Engineer to service and repair heavy plant equipment on a mobile basis across Scotland, starting from Alness. You will follow manufacturer schedules, perform diagnostics, and maintain equipment in line with safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled service inspections, servicing and repairs per manufacturers specifications.
  • Perform regular servicing on machinery, plant and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair complex faults in machinery and equipment.
  • Carry out repairs to machinery, plant and equipment and their components.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient workshop environment and record information digitally.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager the main purpose of the role is to service and repair a wide range of plant equipment and vehicles in accordance with Company and Manufacturers Service Schedules. As a Mobile Plant technician, you will be maintaining and supporting our fleet of plant equipment. Responding to breakdowns and carrying out preventative maintenance as required.

What your day will look like:
  • Carry out scheduled Service Inspections, servicing and repairs in compliance with manufacturers specifications.
  • Conduct regular servicing on machinery, plant and equipment as assigned to you.
  • Diagnose and repair of complex faults in machinery, plant and equipment.
  • Conduct repairs to machinery, plant and equipment, and their components.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and efficient workshop and environment
  • Record information digitally, including photographs on Syrinx App
  • Carry out all tasks in compliance with the Company's Environmental and Health and Safety Procedures.
  • Happy to work under your own initiative and has part of a team
What we need from you:
  • Knowledge that would be acquired through education to NVQ3 equivalent.
  • CSCS
  • Preferably experience in similar role
  • Full UK driving licence (Essential)
  • Commitment to carry out in house Murphy training requirements
