Mobile Service Engineer

Salary A£27,000 - A£32,000 dependent on skills and experience + Company Pension

Full-time permanent - 5 days per week with the potential/flexibility of working some Saturdays based on business needs.

Location: Leeds LS7 - on-site parking.

Field-based - Transit van provided during working hours - full clean driving licence essential.

Independence Mobility is a mobility equipment retailer that supplies a vast range of products including wheelchairs, specialist seating, riser recliners, and trikes. Due to company growth, we are looking to expand by employing a new Mobile Service Engineer to join our friendly team.

Responsibilities:

1. Servicing and repairs of mobility equipment.
2. Delivering and installing products for customers.
3. Performing detailed handovers to ensure customer confidence in product usage.
4. Checking and completing deliveries.
5. Stock taking and picking orders.
6. Some heavy lifting will be required at times.

Requirements:

1. Hands-on approach with a technical, repair, or equipment maintenance background.
2. Full vaccination against Covid-19 unless medically exempt.
3. Ability to drive a Transit LWB sized van with a full, clean driving licence.
4. Must pass a DBS check.

Training, both in-house and external, is provided to aid progression within the role, including advanced fault diagnosis, repairs, and re-programming for high-end equipment such as standing wheelchairs.
