Job summary

Mitie Group plc is seeking a vigilant Security Officer based in Portsmouth to protect property, people and assets in line with site AI's and contract KPIs. You will act as first point of contact, maintain security logs and ensure compliance with data protection and site procedures.

Ideally you hold an SIA License, have strong communication skills in English, and demonstrate reliability, initiative and the ability to work without supervision while maintaining excellent attendance.

Qualifications

• SIA license is required
• SC Clearance desirable

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of Security.
• Be the first point of contact for the Security team and manage standards of dress, discipline and conduct.
• Assist in on-going training to resident security teams and induct new security officers to site procedures, CCTV, access control, deliveries and removals, fire alarms and intruder alarm.
• Develop teamwork and maintain high morale through effective motivation.
• Assist in reviewing Security Officers performance and development.
• Assist in investigations of security/equipment issues, e.g., thefts, missing items, complaints.
• Provide customer/client liaison as required.
• Ensure Assignment Instructions adhered to by security and shipping personnel.
• Ensure security records/logs are kept up to date and read/acknowledged by security personnel.
• Ensure compliance with data protection legislation by the security team.
