Job summary

Eani is seeking a Mobile Catering Assistant to actively participate in the daily operation of the Catering Unit under supervision. You will assist with food prep, simple cooking, and serving meals while maintaining hygiene and a high level of customer service in a school setting.

You will work to support central kitchen communications, set dining areas, prepare tables and cutlery, and help promote meals to pupils and parents as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Willingness to undertake job related training.
• Have access to a suitable vehicle for Education Authority business.
• OR provide information to show access to alternative transport.

Responsibilities

• Basic preparation of food and beverages, including vegetables and snacks.
• Simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared food.
• Organising and controlling food service points.
• Transferring and serving meals and snacks, including transported meals.
• Assist with promotion of meals to pupils, parents and principal.
• Maintain regular contact with central kitchen regarding service delivery.
• Prepare dining area: set tables, lay cutlery, water jugs, etc.
• Complete general kitchen and dining room duties including washing up.
• Clean the kitchen/servery, dining room and equipment.
• Record temperatures for control purposes as required.
• Secure premises as required.
• Complete duties as delegated with service provision.
• Comply with Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice.
