Job summary

North Yorkshire Council invites applications for a Mobile Cook to work across school kitchens in Skipton/Settle and nearby areas. The role covers 25 hours per week term-time, with a pay rate of £13.92–£14.59 per hour plus mileage and a recruitment payment of up to £500.

On-site training is provided, and a full driving license with business-use vehicle insurance is required. DBS Enhanced disclosure is mandatory.

Qualifications

• DBS Enhanced Disclosure is required.
• Full driving license and access to a vehicle with business use insurance.
• Term-time only, permanent contract, 25 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals to students and staff.
• Lead and support the catering team and supervise staff.
• Order food, stock taking and administration.
