Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a School Catering Assistant to set up dining areas, assist with meal preparation, and serve meals to pupils across Lancashire schools. This part-time position requires reliability, good communication and the ability to work calmly during busy periods.

You will help with kitchen and dining area cleaning, equipment upkeep and support the team in delivering nutritious meals. A DBS disclosure is required; sponsorship is not available and a valid UK driving licence is preferred

Qualifications

• Previous catering and food-preparation experience is essential.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to work 16.25 hours per week during term time.
• Valid UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Set up the dining area, including moving and arranging furniture.
• Assist with preparation and cooking of food.
• Serve meals and drinks to pupils.
• Clear the dining area and put furniture away after service.
• Clean equipment, kitchen areas and dining areas.
• Help the team serve meals safely and efficiently.
• Support the delivery of nutritious meals to children across Lancashire schools.
