Job summary

Middlesbrough Council in Tees Valley is offering an exciting role as a Catering Assistant working 15 hours a week, term time only. You will assist the Unit Supervisor with washing up, cleaning the kitchen and serving lunchtime meals to the children.

Experience in a busy catering environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. You will also complete the Basic Food Hygiene course online and allergen training to support safe meal service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy large-scale catering environment is preferred but not essential.
• Basic Food Hygiene Course online and allergen training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Wash up, clean the kitchen and serve lunchtime meals to children.
• Move between Middlesbrough schools to support the School Meal Service.
• Support the Unit Supervisor with general catering duties and dining hall cleanliness.
