Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Radiology Assistant to join our Lung Cancer Screening service. You will work on our mobile CT unit, supporting radiographers, coordinating patient journeys and helping deliver compassionate care across Oxfordshire.

This role requires travelling to different locations, strong communication, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
• Demonstrates ability to travel around locations in Oxfordshire.
• Previous experience of working in a healthcare setting.
• Basic IT skills.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health/Diagnostic Care or equivalent.
• Awareness of radiology services.
• Experience of working in the NHS.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients and visitors professionally.
• Provide explanations and reassurance to patients.
• Assist radiographers during CT scanning and support clinical workflow.
• Maintain stock and keep environments clean and organized.
• Complete booking and data entry on Nelson+/ EPR/CRIS systems.
• Travel across Oxfordshire to mobile CT unit locations.
