Job summary

Selwood Limited is seeking a Mobile Fitter to join the Conwy branch, covering the surrounding region. The role focuses on pump maintenance at both the branch and customer sites, and includes a call-out rota with standby allowance and overtime opportunities.

You should have an NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, hands-on engine experience, and a full UK driving licence with up to six penalty points. The position offers competitive pay and a supportive development path.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 in Mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with engines or mechanical engineering background and ability to diagnose issues.
• Plant environment experience, on-site with customers and in workshop beneficial.
• Able to listen, take on board information, and translate into practical solutions.
• Willingness to grow, training opportunities, and develop existing knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence (≤6 points) as role includes site visits and breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pump maintenance at the branch and customer sites.
• Operate as part of a call-out rota with standby allowance and overtime payment.
• Work safely with emphasis on PPE compliance and safety procedures.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and customers to ensure task smoothness.
• Obtain signatures and names from sites for proper task processing.
• Maintain housekeeping of work areas and vehicles, and complete daily defect reports.
• Follow company policies and procedures and complete tasks in a timely manner.
