Job summary

Selwood Ltd in Leeds is seeking a Mobile Fitter to join our branch team. You will service and repair diesel engine pumps on customer sites and in the branch workshop, ensuring high safety standards and quality workmanship.

This role includes being on a call-out rota with standby allowance and overtime, with a base salary of £38,515 and potential earnings up to £48,722, plus other allowances. We offer ongoing development, training opportunities, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 in Mechanical engineering (or equivalent) or related experience.
• Experience working with engines or mechanical engineering background.
• Experience in plant environment, on site with customers and in workshop.
• Able to listen, take on board information, and translate into practical solutions.
• Willing to grow within the role, open to training opportunities, learning new skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair diesel engine equipment on customer sites or in workshop as directed.
• Conduct regular servicing on pump rental fleet equipment.
• Work safely with PPE and follow safety requirements.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and customers.
• Obtain signatures/names from sites for task processing.
• Keep work areas and vehicles clean and well maintained.
• Complete daily vehicle defect reports for safety.
• Follow instructions and training to complete tasks promptly.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
