Job summary
Plantexpand Ltd is seeking a field-based engineer to service and repair plant across Gloucester, working from a van with stock and historical job data. You will be dispatched to utilitarian sites, ensuring first-time fixes and safety checks.
The role offers 45-hour weeks, paid door-to-door travel, and a discretionary quarterly bonus. A company van and fuel card are provided, with on-call payments and overtime to enhance earnings.
Qualifications
- Hands-on maintenance experience on pumps, generators, excavators, or small plant.
- Own hand tools; company provides specialist tools and diagnostics.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Happy working on your own, out on site.
Responsibilities
- Service, repair and maintain plant on customer sites in and around Gloucester
- Find the fault and fix it first time
- Carry out PUWER inspections, pre-delivery inspections, safety checks and trailer defect checks, and report LOLER defects
- Carry out LOLER thorough examinations on forklifts, telehandlers and excavators used for lifting, once you're qualified, on equipment maintained by another engineer
- Log every job on a tablet (photos, hours and parts used), close the job, raise follow-on repairs and talk directly to our service controllers
