Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Plant Technician for a mobile role covering Southern England. You will travel to client sites to repair, maintain, and diagnose Plant machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and client satisfaction.

Typical hours are 07:00–15:30, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays paid at 1.5x. A Level 3 qualification in Plant Machinery and a Full UK driving licence are required, plus a company van provided for on-site support.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualified (NVQ / City & Guilds / IMI) in Plant Machinery.
• Proven experience as a Plant Technician.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexibility on location and hours.

Responsibilities

• Carry out major and minor repairs on a range of plant machinery
• Perform PDI works and attachment set up on new equipment
• Complete regular inspections and preventive maintenance to keep machines reliable
• Diagnose faults and get kit back up and running fast
• Keep your van stocked, tidy, and ready for action
• Work with the sales and workshop teams to keep customers happy
• Complete paperwork and warranty claims without the faff
