Job summary

Plantexpand Ltd. is seeking a field-based engineer to service and repair plant across St Austell and surrounding sites. You will operate from a van, carrying essential tools and parts, and aim to fix issues first time on site.

Typically you will perform planned maintenance, inspections and urgent repairs on pumps, generators and other site plant, with overtime, a company van, fuel card and a pension scheme included in the package.

Qualifications

Hands-on maintenance experience on pumps, generators, excavators or small plant.
Own hand tools available; diagnostics tools supplied as needed.
Full UK driving licence.
Willing to work on-site and independently.

Responsibilities

Service, repair and maintain plant on customer sites in and around St Austell.
Find the fault and fix it first time.
Carry out PUWER inspections, pre-delivery inspections, safety checks and trailer defect checks, and report LOLER defects.
Carry out LOLER thorough examinations on forklifts, telehandlers and excavators used for lifting, once you’re qualified, on equipment maintained by another engineer.
Log every job on a tablet (photos, hours and parts used), close the job, raise follow-on repairs and talk directly to our service controllers.
