Lancashire Renewables Ltd is seeking a Mobile Plant Relief Operative to join the Operations team at our Thornton facility on a 2-shift system. You will safely operate mobile plant across the waste processing site and support the mobile plant team with general processing duties.
You will work with the weighbridge, logistics and maintenance teams, perform routine vehicle checks, carry out basic site paperwork and attend safety briefings to uphold high health and safety standards.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Operations team at Lancashire Renewables Ltd. working on a 2-shift system at our Thornton facility.
The Mobile Plant Relief Operative will be responsible for the safe undertaking of mobile plant activities within the waste processing operation. Additionally, when required, support the mobile plant team and carry out general process operative activities associated with processing operations and the general site.
This role involves safely and efficiently operating mobile plant equipment across the site and supporting general processing activities to keep everything running smoothly. You'll work closely with the weighbridge team, logistics, maintenance, and other site operatives to keep waste processing operations on track, jumping in with hands-on help when needed. You'll also take care of routine paperwork and attend regular team meetings and safety briefings. Staying safe and compliant is a big part of the job, so you'll carry out checks on vehicles, handle basic maintenance, and help keep the site clean and tidy.
To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have experience operating a Wheeled Loading Shovel and Tele-truck / Forklift Truck (FLT).
Holding a current NPORS qualification or an equivalent certification is highly desirable; however, training may be provided under a training agreement for candidates who can demonstrate relevant experience or hold alternative recognised certifications.
Lancashire Renewables Ltd was established for the operation and management of the two waste treatment facilities built for the Lancashire Waste Contract.
Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. Both sites can process over 5,000 tonnes of residual (black bin bag) waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill.
