Job summary

Biffa Group in Rotherham (Wath Upon Dearne) is seeking a Mobile Plant Operator to load and sort waste using mobile plant machinery, ensuring compliance with the site environmental permit and municipal contract.

Working Mon-Fri with alternating shifts and overtime paid at 1.5x, the role includes assisting with MRF blockages, plant cleaning, audits, KPI reporting, and strict adherence to health & safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous mobile plant experience (FLT, Telehandler, loading shovel) required.
• Knowledge of MRF operations and municipal contracts is essential.
• Willingness to study to obtain Level 2 City & Guilds in Sustainable Waste Management.

Responsibilities

• Load and sort waste using mobile plant machinery in compliance with the site environmental permit.
• Assist with MRF blockages and cleaning while following Health & Safety rules.
• Report near misses and incidents per QHSE policies.
