Job summary

Driver Hire Lancaster is seeking an experienced Mobile Plant / Front Load Shovel Driver in Morecambe on a temp-to-perm basis. The role offers a clear path to permanent employment with a leading waste sector business. Pay is £14.14–£15.85 per hour, with a 40-hour week and overtime available occasionally.

Interviews are available immediately, and an immediate start is possible for the right candidate. Previous site experience and a strong safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating mobile plant and/or front load shovels.
• Ability to provide a recent reference covering this experience.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team.
• Must be over 21 years of age due to commercial insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile plant and/or front load shovels safely and efficiently.
• Load vehicles and process materials across site.
• Maintain waste stockpiles safely and in line with site procedures.
• Sort and segregate waste materials.
• Carry out general site maintenance and housekeeping duties.
• Support site operations to ensure a safe and productive workplace.
