Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd is seeking experienced machine operators for our recycling centre in Gloucester. The role involves operating telehandlers and 360 excavators to load, sort and process waste, with training provided for the right candidate.

We specialise in Construction, Waste Management, Plant Hire, Demolition and Transport operations.

We are recruiting for machine operators to join the team at our recycling centre in Gloucester. We are looking for experienced operators to join our team ideally with experience on both 360 excavators and telehandlers. Experienced plant operator preferred but not essential as training can be given to the right candidate.

Responsibilities for the job role:

• Loading/unloading HGVs with telehandler
• Operating 360 excavator to handle, sort and process waste
• Use of telehandler to empty skips
• Sweeping yard
• Fuelling machines
• Loading containers with teletruck
• Moving baled waste
• Load conveyor belt and waste process hopper with 360 excavator
• Ensure a steady supply of material to shears, shredders and balers using machine
