Job summary

Veolia is recruiting a Mobile Plant Operative for our Hollingdean Waste Management Facility in Brighton. You will operate mobile plant, complete daily pre-start checks, and assist with housekeeping and site duties.

Hours follow a 3-week rota with overtime on bank holidays (1.5x). Benefits include 21 days leave, pension access, and health services. A safety-minded, reliable team player is required.

Qualifications

• Previous operational / manual handling experience.
• Experience operating Mobile Plant: Teletruck, Loading Shovel, Wheeled Materials Handler – Training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate the mobile plant, loading materials in and out of the facility.
• Complete daily pre-start checks on mobile plant while maintaining equipment.
• General housekeeping including litter picking and light maintenance of equipment daily.
• Provide cover for traffic control and weighbridge when needed – subject to training.
• Support the Leadership Team.
• Work at other sites within the South Downs contract area if required.

Job Description

Salary: £31,474.96 plus Veolia benefits

Hours: Working to a 3 week rota (including every 3rd Saturday and bank holidays). If a bank holiday is worked, overtime is paid at 1.5x and a lieu day is provided.

• Week 1 - Monday to Friday 6.30am - 2pm and Saturday 6.30am - 4.00pm


• Week 2 & 3 - Monday to Friday 6.30am - 4.00pm
