Job summary

Veolia is seeking a diligent operations colleague to join the Hollingdean Waste Management Facility in Brighton. The role offers a salary of £31,474.96 plus Veolia benefits and a 3-week rota, including every third Saturday and bank holidays.

You will operate mobile plant such as Teletruck or loading shovel, complete daily checks, assist with housekeeping, support the Leadership Team, and be prepared to work at other South Downs sites when required. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous operational / manual handling experience.
• Experience operating Mobile Plant: Teletruck, Loading Shovel, Wheeled Materials Handler (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Operate the mobile plant, loading materials in and out of the facility.
• Complete daily pre-start checks on mobile plant and maintain equipment.
• General housekeeping including litter picking and light maintenance.
• Provide cover for traffic control and weighbridge when trained.
• Support the Leadership Team and work at other South Downs sites as required.

Hours: Working to a 3 week rota (including every 3rd Saturday and bank holidays)

If a bank holiday is worked you will receive overtime at 1.5 x and also a lieu day

Week 1 - Monday to Friday 6.30am - 2pm and Saturday 6.30am - 4.00pm

Week 2 & 3 - Monday to Friday 6.30am - 4.00pm

What will you be doing?

• Operate the mobile plant, loading materials in and out of the facility
