Biffa Waste Services are seeking a Mobile Plant Operator to move, load and process recyclables. You will operate mobile plant, perform daily equipment checks and maintain a safe, clean working environment, following health and safety rules.

Shifts alternate weekly: early 06:00–15:30 and late 11:30–20:00, with 48 hours per week. Salary £35,817. Licences for telehandler, loading shovel and 360 grab are assets; the role includes development, a pension and staff benefits.

Responsabilidades

• Perform daily equipment checks
• Complete daily report forms for all equipment used (mileage and service)
• Operate plant and machinery with strict adherence to Health & Safety parameters
• Provide control of waste directly at unloading point
• Maintain cleanliness of the working area inside and outside the cab
• Inform shift leader of all accidents or unsuitable waste

Help us make a difference as a Mobile Plant Operator.

- Week 1 - Early Shift

• Monday-Friday: 06:00-15:30
• Saturday: 06:00-12:00

- Week 2 - Late Shift

• Monday-Friday: 11:30-20:00
• Saturday: Off

Breaks: 30 minutes unpaid daily.

Hours: 48 hours per week, alternating weekly between early and late shifts.

Salary: £35,817

You’ll operate mobile plant and machinery to move, load and process recyclable materials, carry out daily equipment checks and maintain a safe, clean working environment.

Your core responsibilities.

• Perform daily equipment checks,
• Complete daily report forms for all equipment used, including mileage and service records
• Operate with diligence and care ensuring Health and Safety parameters are strictly adhered to
• Provide a control of the waste directly at the point of unloading
• Is responsible for the cleaning of the working area in and out of cab
• Is responsible to inform the shift leader about all accidents unsuitable waste, etc

Our essential requirements.

• Essential: License for telehandler, loading shovel and 360 grab also an advantage
• Experience operating mobile plant or machinery.
• Recycling, waste management, or industrial experience preferred.
• Strong Health & Safety awareness, reliability, and a proactive attitude.
