Job summary

SER Limited is recruiting a Mobile Plant Fitter for Newcastle, working a hybrid schedule between workshop and on-site service. You will service and repair a range of plant machinery, including excavators, loaders, and telehandlers, with a focus on reliability and customer satisfaction.

The role offers an hourly rate of £18-£19, overtime opportunities, a company van with personal use, and a benefit-rich package including 30 days holiday and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance, HGV Maintenance, or Agricultural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proven experience working on plant machinery, HGVs, or agricultural equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance, servicing, and repairs on plant machinery (excavators, loaders, telehandlers).
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Perform routine inspections to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide on-site support to clients with minimal downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of work and parts used.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Collaborate with the workshop team to ensure smooth operations.
