Job summary

SER (Staffing) Ltd is seeking a Mobile Plant Fitter for sites around Northampton. The role involves servicing and repairing heavy plant like diggers, dumpers, and excavators, with a door-to-door company van and personal use allowance.

You will work a 42.5‑hour week with overtime opportunities, a competitive hourly rate of £17.00–£18.50, and benefits including holidays and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• CSCS card or NVQ in Plant Maintenance required.
• Experience maintaining and repairing heavy plant machinery.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Able to work independently and manage workload.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on heavy plant machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
• Maintain machinery to high standards to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service on-site.
• Travel to various locations in and around Northampton for mobile repairs and servicing.
