Job summary

Alecto Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Plant Fitter for a Southampton/South Coast role, splitting time between workshop and construction sites.

You will service and repair plant, diagnose faults, carry out breakdown work, and perform preventative maintenance with a company van and predictable hours.

The role offers Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm, with 28 days holiday and optional overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing and maintaining plant, machinery or similar equipment.
• NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining plant.
• Diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic faults.
• Major mechanical repairs.
• Repairing small tools and site equipment.
• Breakdown call-outs to construction sites.
• Preventative maintenance.
• Preparing machinery to minimise downtime.
• Working independently and within the wider engineering team.

Plant Fitter - Southampton / South Coast£20+ per hour * Company van * 7am-4pm * 28 days holiday * Overtime available if wantedIf you're an experienced Plant Fitter looking for predictable hours, a solid hourly rate and a mixed workload, this South Coast role offers a proper step up.You'll split your time between the workshop and construction sites across Southampton and the wider South Coast, working on a varied fleet of plant, machinery and small tools.
