Job summary

CV Technical is seeking an experienced Plant Mechanic to join our field-based team, covering customer sites across Devon. You will service, maintain and repair heavy plant, rollers and vehicles at client sites, with £38,000 basic salary plus overtime and a company van.

Hours are 7:30am–4:30pm, with a 1 in 4 on-call rota and 28 days holiday. The role requires proven plant mechanic experience, hydraulics and electrical knowledge, and a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plant Mechanic or similar role.
• Good knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Solid understanding of engines and mechanical systems.
• Full, valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plant machinery, rollers and vehicles.
• Attend customer sites across Devon to diagnose and repair faults.
• Fault finding and repair of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and engine-related faults.
• Service and maintain heavy plant machinery.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• participate in a 1 week in 4 on-call rota.

Plant Mechanic - Field Based

Location: Field-based, covering customer sites across Devon

Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plant Mechanic to join an established team, working across customer sites throughout Devon.

The Role

You will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of a range of heavy plant, rollers and vehicles at customer locations.

Duties will include:

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on plant machinery, rollers and vehicles.
• Attending customer sites across Devon to diagnose and repair faults.
• Fault finding and repair of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Diagnosing mechanical and engine-related faults.
• Servicing and maintaining heavy plant machinery
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Participating in a 1 week in 4 on-call rota.

About You

• Proven experience as a Plant Mechanic, Plant Fitter, Agricultural Engineer, HGV Mechanic or similar.
• A relevant mechanical qualification or be time-served.
• Good knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems.
• A solid understanding of engines and mechanical systems.
• A full, valid driving licence.
