Overview
Interaction Technical has partnered with a well-established national plant hire firm to support their growth. Our client, with over 50 years of experience, is looking to onboard and train engineers from backgrounds such as plant, HGV, automotive, or agricultural sectors. They offer comprehensive training and internal progression routes.
The package includes:
- 22 days of annual leave plus public holidays, increasing by 1 day for each year of service (up to 25 days)
- Overtime paid at 1.5x for hours over 8 per day
- Salary sacrifice scheme for an additional 5 days of annual leave
- Provided laptop, company vehicle, and fuel card
- Full training and development with clear internal progression: Workshop/Mobile Engineer > Lead Engineer > Hiring Manager > Site Manager > Regional Manager, with salary increases at each stage
- Biannual bonus scheme based on company performance
Responsibilities:
- Travel to client sites for maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Work with clients to understand requirements and provide recommendations
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
- Train and support clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance
- Maintain detailed records of service activities
- Communicate with the in-house engineering team for feedback and improvements
Requirements:
- Experience in the plant, automotive, HGV, or agricultural industries (essential)
- Experience with hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems (essential)
- Experience working on engines is advantageous
- Fault finding, repair, and servicing experience in electrical and mechanical systems
- Qualifications: NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
- Full UK driving license
