Job Title: Mobile Plant Fitter

Location: Heathrow, Middlesex

Salary: £35,000-£38,000 per annum

Hours: Monday-Friday 07:30-16:30, with a company vehicle and fuel card, plus overtime at 1.5x

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Client

Interaction Technical has partnered with a well-established national plant hire firm to support their team’s growth. With over 50 years of experience, they are looking to onboard and train engineers from backgrounds such as plant, HGV, automotive, or agricultural sectors, offering comprehensive training and internal progression routes.

• 22 days annual leave plus public holidays, increasing by 1 day per year of service (up to 25 days)

Responsibilities

• Travel to client sites to perform maintenance and repairs of plant machinery and equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and provide recommendations
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
• Train and support clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance
• Maintain detailed records of service activities and parts used
• Communicate with the in-house engineering team for feedback and improvements

Requirements

• Experience in the plant, automotive, HGV, or agricultural industries (essential)
• Experience working with hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems (essential)
• Engine experience is advantageous
• Fault finding, repair, and service experience in electrical and mechanical systems
• A desire to lead and manage a team
• Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
• Full UK driver’s license
