Job summary

Perfect Placement is seeking a Mobile Plant Engineer for a role based in Slough, Berkshire. The position offers a stable career path with a focus on hands-on maintenance of plant equipment in a dynamic team environment.

You will service, diagnose, and repair hydraulic and electrical faults, while maintaining fleet reliability and adhering to safety standards. A full UK driving licence and NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance are required.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
Experience as an HGV or Plant Technician.
Full UK driving licence.
Proactive approach with a focus on customer service and quality.
Demonstrable experience in hydraulic and electrical systems is advantageous.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations within plant and fleet maintenance.

Responsibilities

Service, inspect, and repair plant equipment including diggers, dumpers, telehandlers, trailers, pallet trucks, and pumps
Diagnose and resolve hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults
Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure fleet reliability
Perform refurbishments and replacements as needed
Adhere to health, safety, and environmental procedures
Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards and quality guidelines
Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
