Perfect Placement is seeking a Mobile Plant Engineer in Birmingham to service a variety of plant equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults, perform preventative maintenance, and keep precise service records while delivering excellent customer service.

The role offers a competitive salary up to £45,000 (dependant on experience), overtime, a company van, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, and a quarterly bonus based on performance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
• Proven experience as an HGV technician or plant mechanic
• Full UK driving licence is essential
• Own toolset; specialist tools will be supplied by the company
• Proactive approach with a customer-focused mindset
• Experience diagnosing hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults is highly advantageous

Responsibilities

• Service, inspect, repair, and refurbish a variety of plant equipment including dumpers, diggers, telehandlers, trailers, and pumps
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues
• Respond to breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
• Ensure all work adheres to manufacturer specifications, environmental, and health and safety standards
• Maintain comprehensive records of all service and repairs carried out
• Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring fleet performance remains optimal
