Perfect Placement is seeking a Mobile Plant Engineer for a role based in Slough, Berkshire. The position offers a stable career path with a focus on hands-on maintenance of plant equipment in a dynamic team environment.

You will service, diagnose, and repair hydraulic and electrical faults, while maintaining fleet reliability and adhering to safety standards. A full UK driving licence and NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
• Experience as an HGV or Plant Technician.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Proactive approach with a focus on customer service and quality.
• Demonstrable experience in hydraulic and electrical systems is advantageous.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations within plant and fleet maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Service, inspect, and repair plant equipment including diggers, dumpers, telehandlers, trailers, pallet trucks, and pumps
• Diagnose and resolve hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure fleet reliability
• Perform refurbishments and replacements as needed
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental procedures
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards and quality guidelines
• Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
