NEOS Engineering Recruitment are working with a well-established engineering business to appoint a Mobile Plant Engineer in the St Austell area. The role covers servicing, maintenance and repairs across customer sites with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The successful candidate will diagnose faults, perform on-site repairs, and complete service reports, with on-call duties as required. A full UK driving licence is essential for this mobile role.

Qualifications

• Experience as Plant Engineer, mobile plant fitter or field service engineer.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent advantageous.
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment independently.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on plant machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Attend customer sites to carry out breakdown repairs.
• Complete inspections and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Work independently while representing the company professionally on site.
• Complete service reports and record all work carried out.
• Order parts and stock through approved supplier accounts.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, customers and the engineering team.
• Participate in the on-call rota when required.

NEOS Engineering Recruitment are working with a well-established and growing engineering business who are looking to appoint an experienced Mobile Plant Engineer to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Plant Engineer, Mobile Plant Fitter, Field Service Engineer or Heavy Plant Engineer looking for a varied mobile role with excellent earning potential and long-term career opportunities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of a range of plant and equipment, working across customer sites within their designated area.

The Role

As a Mobile Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on plant machinery.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Attending customer sites to carry out breakdown repairs.
• Completing inspections and ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Working independently while representing the company professionally on customer sites.
• Completing service reports and accurately recording all work carried out.
• Ordering parts and stock through approved company supplier accounts.
• Communicating effectively with supervisors, customers and the wider engineering team.
• Participating in the on-call rota where required.

The Candidate

The successful Mobile Plant Engineer will ideally have experience within:

• Heavy Plant
• Construction Equipment
• Earthmoving Equipment
• Agricultural Machinery
• Material Handling
• Recycling Equipment
• Powered Access
• Quarrying Equipment

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Plant Engineer, Mobile Plant Fitter, Field Service Engineer or Heavy Plant Mechanic.
• Experience with pumps.
• The ability to diagnose and repair equipment independently.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• An NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance, Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.
