Job summary

NEOS Engineering Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Engineer to join their team in Woodford. The role involves carrying out servicing and repairs on heavy plant across customer sites, diagnosing faults, and maintaining safety and efficiency.

You will work independently, complete reports, and stay aligned with client expectations. The successful candidate will have strong experience with heavy plant equipment, a full UK driving licence, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as Plant Engineer, Mobile Plant Fitter, Field Service Engineer or Heavy Plant Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent advantageous.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on plant machinery.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Attending customer sites to carry out breakdown repairs.
• Completing inspections and ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Working independently while representing the company professionally on customer sites.
• Completing service reports and accurately recording all work carried out.
• Ordering parts and stock through approved company supplier accounts.
• Communicating effectively with supervisors, customers and the wider engineering team.
• Participating in the on-call rota where required.

NEOS Engineering Recruitment are working with a well-established and growing engineering business who are looking to appoint an experienced Mobile Plant Engineer to join their team.

£38 - £41 + Monthly Bonus + Overtime + Company Van + On-Call Payments + Excellent Benefits

The Role

As a Mobile Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on plant machinery.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.

The Candidate

The successful Mobile Plant Engineer will ideally have experience within:

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Plant Engineer, Mobile Plant Fitter, Field Service Engineer or Heavy Plant Mechanic.
• Experience with pumps.
• The ability to diagnose and repair equipment independently.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• An NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance, Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.
