Job description

Mobile Engineer Position

Our client, a leading provider of hire equipment, is seeking a field-based Mobile Engineer to maintain, service, and repair heavy plant equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with heavy plant machinery, primarily focusing on telehandlers and roto telehandlers.

Position Overview

• Currently working on heavy plant such as excavators, rollers, and dumpers; moving forward, the focus will be on telehandlers and roto telehandlers.
• Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on telehandlers and roto telehandlers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment lifespan and reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Adhere to company health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Relevant NVQ Level 2/3 qualifications in plant maintenance.
• Experience in a similar role working on plant machinery.
• Willingness to be based at the Tamworth depot.
• Strong diagnostic skills.
• Mechanical and hydraulic knowledge.
• Experience working on telehandlers and roto telehandlers.

Remuneration

• Salary: £40,000 - £43,860 depending on experience.
• 52.5-hour week (7:00 - 18:00).
• Overtime available.
• Company vehicle.
• 23 days holiday plus bank holidays.
