GP World is seeking an HCA with phlebotomy competence for a locum role in Exeter. The post requires a phlebotomy certificate or competency sign-off and at least one year of active blood-drawing experience.

Responsibilities include confirming participant details, taking height, weight, waist, heart rate and blood pressure, drawing venous blood (2 x 6 ml EDTA), labeling samples, and preparing boxes for courier. Data input and participant welfare are essential throughout each appointment.

Qualificações

• Must have phlebotomy certificate or competency sign-off.
• Minimum of one year’s active experience drawing blood.
• Experience handling and labeling blood samples and inputting results.

Responsabilidades

• Re-confirm participant details before appointment.
• Record height, weight, waist, heart rate and blood pressure; input results.
• Draw venous blood samples; label and store correctly.
• Monitor participant welfare and escalate as needed.
• Provide signposting, advice and guidance as relevant.
• Prepare sample boxes for courier collection.
