Job summary

GUK in London is hiring a Night Mobile Patrol Driver to protect client premises through scheduled patrols, lock-ups, alarm response and site checks across London. You will work as part of our night operations, delivering a professional security presence across a portfolio of sites.

The role requires a valid SIA licence, a full UK driving licence, and at least two years’ experience in mobile security and driving.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence and full UK driving licence required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mobile security or similar roles.
• At least 2 years of driving experience.
• Excellent report-writing, written and spoken English skills.
• Able to use smartphones and mobile apps for incident reporting.
• Strong customer service, time management and calm under pressure.
• 5-year checkable work history.

Responsibilities

• Conducting scheduled mobile patrols across London sites.
• Carrying out lock-ups and key-holding duties.
• Responding to alarms and security incidents promptly.
• Recording patrols and incidents accurately in mobile apps.
• Liaising with the 24/7 Control Room and providing shift handovers.
• Maintaining professional conduct during night shifts.

Salary: £14.00 per hour

Pattern of work: 4 shifts on 4 shifts off any day Mon- Sun

Working Hours: 2 shifts available 18:00-06:00 and 19:00-07:00 (average 42 hours per week)

We are seeking an experienced and professional Night Mobile Patrol Driver to protect our clients’ premises through scheduled patrols, lock-ups, alarm response and site integrity checks across London.

Our Mobile Patrol division operates across the UK, combining highly trained mobile officers, smart technology and the support of our 24/7 Control Room to provide responsive, real-time protection.

The Role

As a Night Mobile Patrol Driver, you’ll work independently across a portfolio of London sites, providing a visible, reliable and professional security presence.

Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting scheduled mobile patrols and site integrity checks.

Carrying out lock-ups, unlocks and key-holding duties.

Responding promptly to alarms and security incidents.

Identifying and reporting security risks, damage or unusual activity.

Completing spot checks and welfare checks with GUK colleagues.

Maintaining accurate patrol, incident and site records using mobile applications.

Liaising with our 24/7 Control Room throughout your shift.

Providing a clear handover at the end of each shift.

Driving safely and responsibly throughout night-time operations.

About You

You’ll be dependable, professional and confident working independently. You’ll have good judgement, strong time-management skills and the ability to respond calmly and professionally to incidents.

You will need:

A valid SIA licence.

A full UK driving licence meeting company and insurance requirements.

At least 2 years’ experience in a similar mobile security role.

At least 2 years’ driving experience.

Good written and verbal English, including report-writing skills.

Confidence using smartphones, apps and other mobile technology.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

The ability to deal professionally with challenging situations.

A methodical, organised approach and excellent time management.

A full 5-year checkable work history.
