Job summary

YMCA DownsLink Group is seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator for sites across East Sussex, including Eastbourne and Hastings. The role requires a full UK driving licence and a vehicle will be provided.

You will redecorate empty homes to ready them for new residents and work on planned redecoration in communal areas, offices, and staff spaces. The job is full-time, onsite, with a Monday–Friday 9am–5pm pattern.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 or equivalent in painting and decorating.
• Two years’ experience in maintenance, cleaning, or decorating.
• Proven track record delivering high-quality work.
• Strong safety, quality and resident wellbeing focus.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Understanding of professional boundaries with vulnerable young people.
• Organised with ability to prioritise.
• Strong teamwork with ability to challenge where needed.
