Job summary

Vertu FM in Scotland is seeking a Multi-Skilled Building Maintenance Engineer to join a mobile engineering team covering Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and surrounding areas. You will maintain a variety of commercial properties, from retail to offices, with a mix of planned maintenance and reactive repairs.

The role requires hands-on experience in building fabric, with PAT testing, fire alarm testing, water temperature monitoring and basic plumbing/carpentry tasks.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer or similar.
• Trade-qualified or equivalent through relevant experience.
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance on commercial properties.
• Experience with PAT testing and weekly fire alarm testing.
• Willing to travel across Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and surrounding areas.
• Hold a full UK driving license.
• Reliable, flexible and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across mobile portfolio.
• Perform general building maintenance and fabric repairs.
• Conduct PAT testing and weekly fire alarm testing.
• Monitor water temperatures and comply with checks.
• Complete emergency lighting tests and drain-down tests.
• Assist HVAC engineers with two-person tasks when required.
• Maintain maintenance records and reports electronically.
• Work independently across a regional portfolio.
