Job summary

City Facilities Management is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support multiple stores from Bristol on a mobile basis. You will perform a range of building fabric and housekeeping repairs and assist with minor PPMs to keep stores safe, compliant and fully operational.

The role emphasizes clear communication with store management, delivering quality workmanship, and maintaining a regular visit schedule across up to 15 locations. A proactive approach and pride in service are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds in a relevant trade.
• Multi-trade FM/retail or public buildings experience preferred.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong Health & Safety knowledge and safe working practices.
• Ability to carry out fabric and grounds repairs (floors, walls, doors, toilets).
• Confident using iPads for logging tasks and systems access.
• Delivers work to a consistently high standard with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Drive company standards, values and behaviours to represent City professionally.
• Complete minor maintenance and fabric repairs to a high standard.
• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance within timescales and keep records up to date.
• Respond promptly to Helpdesk requests and escalate as needed.
• Maintain tools, equipment and materials in good working order.
• Provide clear support and communication across allocated stores (up to 15 locations).
