Job summary

City Facilities Management is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support multiple supermarket stores nationwide. The mobile role involves planned visits and responsive maintenance of building fabric and housekeeping tasks.

You will work closely with store teams, ensuring safety, compliance and operations, while delivering quality service and clear progress updates. The job covers a broad range of maintenance tasks, requires a UK driving licence, and uses iPads for logging tasks.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds in a relevant trade and multi‑trade FM/retail experience.
• Full UK driving licence and understanding of health & safety requirements.
• Ability to carry out fabric and grounds repairs across a variety of areas.
• Comfortable using tablets/iPads to log tasks and access systems.
• Consistently high-quality work with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Drive standards and represent the company while visiting stores.
• Complete minor maintenance and fabric repairs to high standards.
• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance within timescales and document accordingly.
• Respond promptly to helpdesk requests and assess repair needs.
• Maintain tools and equipment and keep them safe and ready for tasks.
• Provide clear communication across stores and keep management updated.
