Job summary

Veolia is seeking a field-based maintenance technician to service dewatering equipment and water treatment assets across London and the South. The role involves inspections, repairs, and installations, with standby and potential travel.

You will join a small team, using mechanical skills to keep assets running efficiently while following health and safety guidelines. A full UK driving license is essential, and training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving License is essential.
• Experience in an industrial environment or newly qualified in Mechanical Engineering considered.
• NVQ or apprenticeship in mechanical engineering maintenance Level 2 is desirable.
• Experience with equipment on water/sewage treatment plants is preferred.
• Confined Space Training is desirable.
• First Aid trained is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a small team across multiple sites.
• Assist with inspections, servicing and repairs of dewatering pumps and plant equipment.
• Carry out repairs/modifications to pumps, pipework and valves and related ancillaries.
• Assist with pipework installations using plastics and metals.
• Provide standby cover and occasional away-from-home work.
• Complete test reports, certificates and customer feedback documents.
• Liaise with on-site customers and maintain safe operations.
