Job summary

Mitie, North West London, is seeking a Mobile Mechanical Engineer to service MET Police sites across two adjacent locations under one contract. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing plumbing and ventilation systems while delivering high standards of service.

You will work on AHUs, FCUs, water systems, booster sets and related equipment, with on-call duties and the potential to progress within a national facilities management service.

Qualifications

• Background in facilities management or mobile maintenance.
• Experience working on-call across a region.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Plumbing or Heating & Ventilation qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience in commercial building maintenance from a mechanical engineering perspective.
• Willingness to undergo MET Police SC Clearance (may take up to 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPMs, reactive maintenance and fault-finding tasks across North West London MET Police stations.
• Act as a key point of contact for the client, answering queries, reporting defects and keeping them fully updated during service visits.
• Complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, including inspection logs and remedial records.
• Work across two sites located opposite each other under one contract.
• Service, maintain and repair plumbing and ventilation installations, including AHUs, intake/extract systems, thermal wheels, FCUs and water system assets.
• Maintain and support systems such as booster sets, chlorifiers, and water heaters.
• Deliver consistently high levels of service and professionalism for the client.
