Job summary

Mitie Group plc in London is seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer to support the MET Police estate across South London. You will deliver planned and reactive maintenance, inspections and fault finding across a portfolio of police stations, ensuring systems stay safe and fully operational.

This mobile role covers multiple sites on a high-profile public sector contract, with opportunities for ongoing training and development and on-site client liaison.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2330 Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Willingness to obtain MET Police CTC Clearance (may take 7–10 months).

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, inspections, and fault finding.
• Complete electrical installations, upgrades, and minor works in line with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate compliance documentation and service records.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and resolving queries.
• Participate in a 1 in 6, 24/7 on-call rota.
