Job summary

Keys is seeking a full-time Mobile Maintenance Operative to support our growing portfolio of care homes, schools, and residential facilities. You will handle a range of general repair and maintenance tasks, including fixing fire doors, patching walls, and minor plumbing, with larger jobs handled by local contractors.

You will manage your own workload and work closely with the Facilities Manager and Home Managers.

Qualifications

Full UK driving licence is required.
At least 1 year of joinery, carpentry and general maintenance experience preferred.
Knowledge of PPE, asbestos, and regulations is desirable.

Responsibilities

Maintain exterior sites including gardening, painting, and general tidiness.
Carry out internal decorating and general repairs to a high standard.
Supervise external contractors and coordinate tasks.
Respond to emergency maintenance as needed and board up windows or replace locks.
Assist operational staff and move furniture as required.
Manage allocated monthly spend for maintenance tasks.
Perform carpentry duties such as door hanging, shelving, and minor furniture repairs.
Handle minor plumbing tasks like replacing taps and leaks, TRV replacements.
Maintain the company van per Fleet policy and log daily trackplan timesheets.
Keep tools and inventory in good order and attend required training.
