Job summary

City Facilities Management in Milton Keynes is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Technician to join our team on a permanent basis. The role involves carrying out PPM tasks, reactive maintenance and repairs at a major retail client, with a 40-hour week.

The ideal candidate holds a City & Guilds / NVQ trade qualification (Carpentry, Plumbing or Roofing) and has experience in commercial/building maintenance. A full driving license is preferred, and the role includes private pension and benefits.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ trade qualification (Carpentry / Plumbing / Roofing).
• Previous experience in building maintenance within a commercial / retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist other City Technicians with major or minor maintenance work.
• Complete all necessary PPM’s and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and as required.
• Responding promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary.
• Prioritising and completing minor maintenance and repair work to agreed timescales.
• Ensuring all tools and equipment necessary to complete minor maintenance and repairs are available and serviceable at all times.

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced Mobile Maintenance Technician to join our company, working with one of our major UK supermarket clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist other City Technicians with any major or minor maintenance work.
• Complete all necessary PPM’s and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and as required.
• Responding promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary.

Qualifications / Experience:

Essential

• City & Guilds / NVQ trade qualification (Carpentry / Plumbing / Roofing)
• Previous experience in building maintenance within a commercial / retail environment

Desirable but not essential:

• Ability to maintain and repair a range of equipment.
• Quality of repairs and maintenance.
• Speed and efficiency of work.

The ideal candidate:

• Full driving license.
• Experience using a PDA system.
• Carried out PPM and reactive maintenance within a similar retail environment
