Job summary

The David Ross Education Trust is seeking a facilities maintenance operative to support refurbishment and maintenance projects across its network of academies. You will operate a work van, travel to multiple sites within Lincolnshire and Yorkshire, and work in a two-person team to perform routine repairs, decorating, and small projects.

Candidates should have a full driving licence, strong health and safety knowledge, and solid painting, decorating, and building repair skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full, clean driving licence.
• Ability to apply health and safety regulations (COSHH, Asbestos, Legionella).
• Ability to operate electrical/mechanical systems.
• Competent with building repairs and maintenance.
• Good painting & decorating experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine maintenance, refurbishment, painting and decorating, small projects and repairs.
• Work in a two-person team; support site management cover as needed.
• Travel to academies within Lincolnshire & Yorkshire; travel expenses covered by the Trust.
