Job summary

MITCHELLS & BUTLERS PLC is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative (Plumber/Carpenter bias) to work independently, visiting pubs and restaurants in Wimbledon and Worcester Park. You’ll handle general maintenance across ~40 sites using a company van, with no on-call rota and flexible hours.

Role requires basic plumbing, woodwork, painting/decorating, tiling, and pest proofing skills. Driving licence and customer-focused approach essential.

Qualifications

• Basic cold-water plumbing including fixing toilet flushes and leaking pipes.
• Woodwork and joinery experience is required.
• Painting and decorating experience.
• Floor and wall tiling experience.
• Pest proofing knowledge.
• Experience in multi-skilled trade or relevant main trade e.g., plumbing or joinery.

Responsibilities

• Travel to sites using company van to deliver general maintenance works (approx. 40 sites).
• Perform plumbing, carpentry, painting and tiling tasks as required.
• Order parts, manage van stock, and log jobs on IT system.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and communication with site managers.
