Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd client is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Operative to deliver fabric repairs and small project tasks across various building trades.

The role requires a C&G/NVQ in a fabric trade, IT literacy, and experience with PDA technology to report and close out tasks. You will perform carpentry, tiling, plastering, painting, plumbing, and fire door inspections in a facilities context.

Qualifications

• PDA reporting experience is essential.
• IT knowledge required for documentation and reporting.
• Qualified to a fabric trade (carpentry, joinery or plumbing) for inspection and small repairs.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Mobile Maintenance Operative who will deliver varying fabric repairs and small project tasks covering a range of building trades.

The Mobile Maintenance Operative will be responsible for:

• General repairs and maintenance to the building fabric, including carpentry, tiling, wall and floor repairs. Painting and decorating (as and when required) Flooring repairs to include hard flooring, and carpet tiles.


• Basic plumbing maintenance and repairs. Basic plastering for making good damaged walls. Maintain inspection logs, remedial reports, and communicate updates to clients.


• Experience of PDA technology for reporting and completion of jobs is essential.


• Fire Door inspections and repairs.

To be successful for this Mobile Maintenance Operative role you must have:

• Skilled operative qualified to a C&G or NVQ in a fabric trade, such as carpentry, joinery or plumbing.
